For those members like myself who occasionally revisit Robert A. Caro’s book The Power Broker, you will find on page 922 a reference to our club.


Former Commissioner of the Port Authority Howard S. Cullman met with Mayor Wagner for "lunch at the 'Players Club.'" Player Cullman was also a Broadway producer who financed 300 shows including Death Of A Salesman, A Streetcar Named Desire, and South Pacific.
