By SANDY ROCHELLE
I turn around and around
Avoiding the challenge
To imitate Lot's wife, frozen in time.
I am made of breath and humanity.
Ignoring the distractions and the echoes
Of the Pillar of Salt.
I move forward with the blessings
Of the here and now.
I am guided by space and freedom
And the knowledge that calls me home.
